Going all the way back to 2010 for this one. It’s from a series that i took on a school trip to Geneva (Switzerland). It was the first time i took a class there to visit CERN. It was right after the LHC started operating, and i was really happy to be able to make the trip. We organized with colleague teaching who was a biology/geology teacher, and so over the 5 days, did pretty much all there was to do in this calm swiss city. Museums, check (includig the Patak Philip watch museum) ; united nations, check ; the giant water jet on the lake, check…. So we hired a geology guide and sent for a hike Mount Saleve, which straddle the Franco-Swiss border in the Jura.
It was a nice afternoon in May, but high up it was cooler air and quite foggy at times. It was quite an ambiance. The environement up there was quite beuatiful already, at first with a plunging view down onto the cityof Geneva and then going furhter into the wooded mountain top. There are a fair number of shot from that trip that i’ve really grown to love over the years.
All these years later what i do regret is that it was just months before i got my first ‘real camera’ the trust old D90, and this was shot on my old Canon PowerShot G5. But its not the camera that makes the photo, nor the photographer.
