This is a well-known architectural landmark of the city of Le Havre, a city known for its city centre being entirely rebuilt by Gustav Perret, after its extensive destruction during WWII, making it part of UNESCO world heritage.

This particular structure is right in the heart of downtown and is called “Le Volcan” (the volcano), designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer.
